EQUIPMENT

PREMIUM GOLF BALLS

Make sure to pick a virtual golf ball that suits your strengths. In addition to the standard ball, you've got 8 different Premium Balls- all with unique attributes- to choose from.

ManiaxPutt Indicator

MANIAX (POWER): It goes higher and further than any other ball, but the good news doesn't end there. The Maniax will also land a bit softer than any other ball making this a perfect combination of high loft with distance control. Only a true maniac could have devised such a versatile weapon for the golf course!

tip

TIP: Use this ball in conjunction with a Golden Tee set to High when wind conditions are in your favor for maximum distance. It's not unheard of to add 30 to 70 yards to your drive in some cases! Talk about getting the most bang for your buck!

SniperPutt Indicator

SNIPER (SUPER STICKY): There are times in every golfer's career when they want to yell at the ball to stop. Just STOP! The Sniper's nearly complete lack of elasticity is perfect for those situations when extra distance will likely mean an extra stroke added to your score. This one's as accurate as its namesake. It's the closest thing to a homing missile you'll find in this game!

tip

TIP: While it's a great ball when trying to stick it on the green, keep in mind that the ball will be unlikely to roll into the cup. The Sniper's potential comes when trying to control its movement on steep hills such as those found on the Juniper Falls course.

TorpedoPutt Indicator

TORPEDO (SUPER ROLL): Have some travelling to do? Whenever you want to maximize the distance, use a Torpedo ball to greatly increase your roll. This is essential for those sprawling par-5 holes you'll be coming across throughout the game.

tip

TIP: Use this ball in conjunction with a Golden Tee set to Medium height for maximum roll potential!

JavelinPutt Indicator

JAVELIN (WIND CUTTER): Every golfer is bound to encounter rough weather at some point. Wind conditions can reach up to 18 mph in some cases! This heavy ball will cut through even the harshest gusts, reducing the wind's effect to almost nothing. It's a handy tool for those situations when a strong wind would make a precise shot impossible.

tip

TIP: This ball is perfect for chipping when the wind conditions are extreme.

RangerPutt Indicator

RANGER (ALL TERRAIN): Most surfaces off the fairway, tee or green add a heavy penalty to the distance and the curve of your shot. The Ranger is your ticket out of these hazard areas. This ball removes all negative effects associated with the surface you're launching from. Fear the rough no more!

tip

TIP: The Ranger is great when on muddy or snowy surfaces. Keep in mind that the effect of the ball is on launch, not landing.

orbitPutt Indicator

ORBIT (SUPER BACKSPIN): This ball applies an intense amount of backspin to your shot, changing the direction on landing while retaining its bounciness and roll. The Orbit allows you a little more room for error when trying to make precision shots. Think of it as a self-parking luxury vehicle for your golf game!

tip

TIP: This is a fantastic choice when you know you have to make a long shot onto a sloped green. The Orbit won't roll off but will still be able to backspin into the cup. It's a big advantage that other balls (such as the Sniper) lack.

streakPutt Indicator

STREAK (ROLL): This is a basic ball that adds a bit more roll than your Standard ball would. It's optimal when used with Tees for even longer drives. When you need more distance but don't want to go crazy with it, the Streak is your best choice.

tip

TIP: While not as potent as the Torpedo ball, this inexpensive alternative could be just the thing. Due to its moderate amount of extra roll, this ball is ideal for landing on sloped greens with a bit more distance to roll into the cup.

grabberPutt Indicator

GRABBER (BACKSPIN): This ball is a cheap yet effective way to lessen the impact of the roll while retaining most of its elasticity and control. The Grabber slows down after landing, stabilizing it on higher angled slopes.

tip

TIP: The Grabber is probably going to be your best friend around the green! This ball will gently come to a stop while retaining some bounciness and a bit of roll.

TEES

Tee Selection

Tees are an essential element of Golden Tee Golf. They provide additional boost to your drives by adding distance and loft. Golden Tees also offer enhanced control.

BRONZE TEES- An inexpensive Tee that grants a bit of distance, power and loft. Use it as often as you can!
SILVER TEES- This Tee lends additional loft and distance to your drives. It's best used when winds are in your favor.
GOLDEN TEES- If it's on the title screen, it's gotta be a game changer! Golden Tees not only give you distance and loft but also an array of control options:

When you select the Golden Tee you are able to place it within a few yards' radius, allowing you to fine tune your starting position.

Once your position is confirmed, you will have 3 Tee height choices.

High Tees
High Tee-  The ball will travel higher, carry further, and be in the air a lot longer with this Tee. Because it's High, however, the ball won't spin nearly as much. This is something to bear in mind when using these Tees for shots onto the green on par-3s and drivable par-4s. High Tees are particularly useful when you need to clear obstacles or get some extra carry on Tee shots.
tip

TIP: It's not unheard of to add 30 to 70 yards to your drives when you use a Maniax ball and a High Golden Tee.

Medium Tees
Medium Tee- The ball will carry further but will not travel higher, diminishing the effect of cross winds. Most importantly, since the ball stays closer to the ground it will bounce further and finish with a nice long roll.
tip

TIP: Use Premium Balls such as the Torpedo and Streak to maximize the potential of Medium Tees.

Low Tees
Low Tee- The Low Tees are rather unique! These Tees actually reduce the power and loft of the ball, making it ideal for driving through various shortcuts. It's also possible to zoom under tree branches, bridges or other obstacles for a less conventional path to the cup.
tip

TIP: For even less loft, you can combine this tee with the 1-Iron. It's our lowest-loft club with long distance!

PREMIUM CLUBS

Your bag comes with 14 standard clubs, which can all be upgraded over time. However, you may also permanently add additional unique clubs. These Premium Clubs will be automatically added to your bag and become part of the set. For example, a 1-Iron will be permanently added to your bag and upgraded along with all other Irons.

4-WOOD

4-wood

Fill in the gaps between your clubs with a long-range Wood. This permanent addition will upgrade with all other fairway Woods.

tip

TIP: Trying to get that perfect swing with long range clubs may be tougher than you think! The 4 Wood fairway club is the perfect option to fill in on shorter drives and approach shots.

6-WOOD

6-wood

The ultimate high loft shot maker! This club is perfect for par-3s and approach shots onto the green.

tip

TIP: A beautiful transition between fairway Woods and Irons, this club comes closer to an Iron in distance while retaining its smooth high loft property.

1-IRON

1-iron

This club and the 5 Wood launch a similar distance. Its potentially low loft allows for great control around wooded areas where you run the risk of clipping branches and other obstacles.

tip

TIP: Use this club in conjunction with the Medium Golden Tee and Torpedo Premium Ball. Grab a lawn chair and watch the ball surf the fairway!

LOB WEDGE

lob wedge

Do you seem to spend a lot of time hanging out in bunkers? Break out this maximum-loft wedge around the green to save the day.

tip

TIP: This is the shortest distance club with high loft. Use it when you're trying to escape from deep hazards.

THE CHIPPER

chipper

This club is fantastic around the green. The Chipper's extremely low loft combined with high power make it great for bailing yourself out of the rough. The added roll can slide the ball right into the cup after it hits the green!

tip

TIP: This club's low loft is not always a good choice when trying to get out of deep hazards by the green. Nothing is more frustrating than bonking into a high wall and dropping right back into the bunker!

HIGH-LOFT DRIVER

High Loft Driver

Add a second driver to your bag! This nifty high-loft driver is perfect for navigating obstacles and tackling elevated greens.

tip

TIP: Taking advantage of the shortcuts on each hole can be difficult! Try combining this club with the Ranger ball when making shots in areas off the fairway.

9 WOOD

9 Wood

The highest-lofted wood in Golden Tee. Travel over trees and obstacles by dropping raindrop approaches with this unique club.

tip

TIP: Newer players will find this club perfect for addressing higher elevation on most courses. You can travel over obstacles and land a softer shot on the green than is possible with the 3 and 4 Irons.

7 WOOD

7 Wood

For those in search of more height, look no further. This flexible fairway wood can be your golfing pocket-knife.

tip

TIP: This club splits the difference nicely between the 6 Wood and 9 Wood. It's great for sticking those par-3 holes instead of having to use a 2 Iron or 3 Iron!

0-HYBRID

0 Hybrid

The first hybrid in Golden Tee and the ultimate stealth club! Pick up massive distance while staying low to the ground.

tip

TIP: Need to sneak under something? This club offers the lowest loft in the game while still going almost as far as a Driver. Use it with a Bronze Tee to shoot right below the wind effect!

Flop Wedge

Flop Wedge

The ultimate loft wedge. For tackling rough lies out of steep bunkers and short, uncomfortable shots around the hole.

tip

TIP: Use this wedge for shorter-range chips out of deep bunkers. For maximum effect, combine them with Streaks in low wind or Javelins for heavier gusts.
